The female human did not evolve wearing high heeled shoes. Her feet are not adapted to the stress imparted on her feet. There are all kinds of foot problems for women that continue to wear high heels without taking measures to counter the negative effects.
I think it is pretty sad statement of human ego that women torture them self just for fashion appeal. References :
